Pune, 10th April 2025 – The Logistics and Supply Chain Management department of Symbiosis Skills and Professional University (SSPU) recently organized an industrial visit to Brembo Brakes India Private Limited. This company is a global leader in automotive braking systems. The visit provided students with an opportunity to learn about Brembo’s state-of-the-art production facilities. The visit offered students a deep understanding of the complex supply chain processes in the automotive industry.
Brembo Brakes India, known for its high-performance braking systems, allowed students to closely observe these systems. From raw materials to final product distribution, students gained insights into how production, technology, logistics, and supply chain management work together to ensure the performance and excellence of braking systems. They were also exposed to the system implemented at each stage of the supply chain, from procurement to distribution, which ensures effective coordination. Additionally, students learned about inventory management, supply chain optimization, and modern logistics strategies to streamline operations.
The design and production process of high-performance brake systems is tailored for some of the major global automotive brands. Geetanjali Shinde, Head of the Human Resources Department at Brembo Brakes India Private Limited, guided the students. The opportunity for students to interact with industry experts and learn how classroom knowledge can be transformed into practical application proved to be immensely valuable.
